Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
A few weeks ago, my roommates and I went on a guided overnight trek through Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Our guide was a former poacher and knew the forest well. We spotted a variety of wildlife including gaur, sambar deer, dholes (Indian wild dogs), warthogs and elephants.
